Labor Day

Thanking God for Workers and Work

On this Labor Day weekend, when we rest from our usual labors, we pray for all who shoulder the tasks of human labor—in the marketplace, in factories and offices, in the professions, and in family living.

A Night of Prayer and Music

The public is welcomed to join musicians from throughout the archdiocese for a gathering of prayer and song at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament at 5 p.m. on Sept. 12. The evening will include a recital from St. Anastasia organist Christine Chun.

CSA: Sharing Christ through the Church

Christ calls us to reflect on how we can more fully participate in the Church's mission of preaching, teaching, serving and worshipping for the glory of God. The Catholic Services Appeal is an important way for us to answer Christ's call and renew our personal commitment to His work in the Church.

Policy, Responses on Clerical Sexual Abuse
Archbishop Allen Vigneron recommits the local church to "further establish a Church-life in which children are safe." He reminds the faithful of the archdiocese's aggressive approach to combating abuse, and renews the call to the public to report incidents to the archdiocese, regardless of when they occurred.
