Mr. John Lajiness

John Lajiness
 
Mr. Lajiness earned his A.B. in philosophy from Sacred Heart Major Seminary in 1998.  After completion of his undergraduate studies, he studied for one year at the Pontifical Gregorian University.  Mr. Lajiness completed his M.A. in theology (history and spirituality) at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in 2006.  He is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Ministry program at Catholic University of America.
 
Mr. Lajiness has held a number of positions within the Archdiocese of Detroit, including a high school teacher, Pastoral Associate, Director of Religious Education, Christian Service Coordinator, RCIA and Adult Formation Coordinator at St. Agatha High School and church.  He also served the Archdiocese of Detroit in the Pontiac Area Vicariate as the part-time director for a young adult catechetical and formation program called Leadership for Tomorrow.
 
Mr. Lajiness served at Sacred Heart Major Seminary as the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management and Assistant Dean of the Institute for Ministry from 2004-2008.  He continues to be an adjunct Instructor of Theology in the College of Liberal Arts at SHMS, while he also serves as the Director of Religious Education at Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish in Grosse Pointe Woods.
